Who We Are

Maharashtra–Utsav, State-level Inter-Collegiate Marathi Youth Festival, is an immensely popular festival among the colleges of Mumbai University. It has a participation of all over 86 colleges and is organized by Parnika Trust. The festival is spread over 4 days with events ranging from Literature, Fine Arts and Performing Arts. Over the years, we have broadened our horizon to encompass a much larger audience and a wider range of activity by taking the Marathi Youth Festival at State–level. Many new initiatives have been undertaken to bring together the creative brilliance, organizational skills and innovations in making this cultural festival one of its own kind with a unique concept. It is an amalgamation of time-tested tradition, youthful enthusiasm and a whirlpool of creative inventions.


Our Journey and Objectives

Though 'Maharashtra-Utsav' being Marathi oriented festival, it is much more multi-lingual consisting of events such as, Performing Art, Literary Art, Fine Art, Dramatics and many more competitions. Its unique concept blends culture from different parts of Maharashtra with Indian culture. Our youth festival offers a spectrum of excitement and an opportunity in a compact form for bringing out the best talent in various categories.

In keeping with the tradition of nurturing young talents into an all round personality and enriching their potentials for the finer things in life, Parnika Trust has been organizing 'Maharashtra-Utsav’ year after year. The main objectives of ‘Maharashtra-Utsav’ is to evoke cultural respect and encourage new talents in various areas like orchestra, stage plays, fashion shows, exhibitions, personality contest, workshop on creative thinking. It is one of the most awaited variety entertainment program which is Indian in Ethos and Indian in content, has been conceptualized and standardized to the level of colleges in Mumbai and State. It is a totally Indianized phenomenon which brings together various untapped talents on one platform with the basic aim and spirit to promote Indian Culture, Harmony and Unity.
